Contact Us

Email
This is a great way to correspond with us. In most places we go to there are internet cafes or libraries with Internet access. Please be patient since we only check this when we are in port and not on a daily basis (there is so much to do everyday). The email address is: svwindarra2 'at symbol' hotmail.com

AIS
We have AIS on board. It is similar to the transponder that are on airplanes and it reports our location, course and direction. There are some websites that will report our location based on AIS. These include:

            http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/
            http://www.vesseltracker.com/app
            http://sailwx.info/

We may not alway have our AIS transponder on when we are at the marina or anchored but we will when in transit. So look for Windarra or MMSI 336831490.

Yotreps
Yotreps is a service that will log position reports. I try (not always regularly), to send a position report with our current location as well as sending a blog posting. You can go to the link below and see where we last reported in.

Another site, Shiptrak, shows more historic data of where we have been. You will see some of our positions when we were crossing the South Pacific 2002-2004.

Radio Information
We are able to communicate via single side band as well as using it for email. We will use this when we are pn passage and out of cell phone range.
